“Bless This House” Recap
“Bless This House” Event Marks Powerful Moment in Gospel Village Expansion
On Friday, May 16th, the Gospel, Inc. community came together in a moving and memorable way for the “Bless This House” event, hosted at the Phase 1 expansion site of Gospel Village in Lakeland, Florida. The event was a tremendous success, drawing over 150 supporters, volunteers, and faith partners who gathered to inscribe scriptures and blessings on the wooden framework of homes being built for formerly homeless individuals.
Attendees were invited to come anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. to walk the halls of the new structures, praying and writing words of hope, healing, and transformation on the walls—messages that will soon be sealed behind insulation and drywall, yet remain forever woven into the foundation of each home.
The event wasn’t just a symbolic gesture; it was an act of spiritual grounding for what will soon become sacred spaces of restoration and dignity. The walls now bear the names of loved ones, scriptures of peace, and messages of encouragement for future residents—each one a testament to the power of community and faith in action.
Adding to the day’s significance, Bay News 9 with Spectrum News aired a special segment that evening, highlighting the heart behind Gospel, Inc.’s mission and the impact of the expansion project. The coverage brought further awareness to the organization’s efforts to end chronic homelessness through permanent, supportive housing and community integration. You can view the full story here.
As Phase 1 of the expansion nears completion, this event served as both a milestone and a reminder: these are not just buildings—they are homes, homes being built with prayer, purpose, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves a place to belong.
Gospel, Inc. extends heartfelt thanks to every person who attended, wrote a blessing, shared a prayer, or supported this mission in any way. The walls may soon be covered, but the words written that day will remain—hidden beneath the surface, but foundational to the life-changing work being done at Gospel Village.
