Our mission is to build relationships, trust, and courage in a creative, loving space. Our facilitators lead classes in sewing, jewelry-making, and painting. This is a unique opportunity to walk with women through some very challenging situations.
The people we work with simply need a home with community support. Our focus for women from RePurpose Art Studio that are participating in our paid internship is assisting them in obtaining permanent housing with money earned going towards moving them into their own living space and assistance in saving for beyond the internships. Our goal is to continue to provide or assist them in locating work giving them the dignity of providing for themselves. As we continue to do outreach to men experiencing homeless, we look for opportunities to provide work that will enable them to rent their own home while we walk with them through the responsibilities of maintaining a roof over their head and a focus on self sufficiency.
Your church, company, or organization is invited to schedule a Serve Day with us! These would typically be scheduled for a Saturday Morning and would entail neighborhood clean-up, property renovations, painting, etc. At whatever capacity you want to Serve, we are looking forward to partnering with you!
Friday Nights with Community
We build our entire organization out of creating personal relationships with the homeless community in Lakeland, so for anyone interested in investing in the life of a homeless friend, this is where you want to be. Every Friday night, our team walks the streets to curate conversation and encounter new people. This outreach is best for those who are comfortable striking up conversation with new people, which hopefully will eventually lead into a deeper relationship. Food and fellowship usually follow. Contact us for more information on this outreach opportunity.
We look forward to you getting involved. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
